Inspiring Learning and Conscious Living
Harsha Marathe (HM)
Who I Am
Hi, I’m Harsha Marathe — an educator and a lifelong learner who believes that learning should feel simple, clear, and meaningful.
Along with teaching, I also care deeply about the environment, animals, and the well-being of people. Through my work and my lifestyle, I try to make small but positive contributions where I can.
My Philosophy
Education Philosophy
Learning should be meaningful, enjoyable, and curiosity-driven.
But today’s education system often makes learning exam-oriented, stressful, and dependent on memorizing. Students move ahead without strong conceptual foundations, and by the time they reach higher classes, these gaps lead to frustration, loss of interest, and self-doubt. Many begin to think they are “not good” at science or maths, when the real issue is simply missing fundamentals.
Lasting success goes beyond exam performance—it comes from strong fundamentals rooted in deep, clear understanding. But students will think beyond exams only when they know how to handle exams effectively.
That’s why we need to help students face exams confidently while also building strong conceptual understanding, so they can truly enjoy the subject without fear.
What I Do in Line With This
1) HM Notes — Reducing exam stress by giving students clear, concise, and efficient study material
HM Notes is a well-structured exam-preparation book that makes studying simple and manageable. Each chapter is organised in an easy question–answer format with past-paper questions, a clear concept flow, and a star-rating system that helps students focus on what truly matters. The rating system enables efficient use of time by identifying which questions need more attention. Altogether, it helps students revise confidently and study smarter.
2) HM Classes — Strengthening Foundations Through Personalised Teaching
HM Classes provides personalised teaching through one-on-one or small-group sessions, allowing each student to learn at a pace that suits them. With focused attention, conceptual gaps can be identified and fixed, giving students the strong foundation they need to understand higher-order concepts clearly.
3) Educational Videos — Making Learning Clear and Engaging
I’m creating educational videos because visuals can make learning deeper, clearer, and more engaging. They also give students the flexibility to learn anytime and revisit concepts whenever needed.
This is something I’m exploring, and I’ll continue developing it gradually.
Over time, this can grow into a reliable learning resource.
My Values (Beyond Teaching)
Along with teaching, I care about living responsibly. My concern for the environment, animals, and the world we share has shaped many of my choices. I try to live a minimalistic, eco-friendly, vegan lifestyle — not perfectly, but mindfully.
I believe that meaningful change begins with our own actions.
How I Try to Make a Difference
My efforts include:
conducting awareness sessions on environmental issues and veganism
volunteering whenever possible
continuing to learn about sustainability and mindful living
planning to create awareness videos to reach a wider audience
These are small steps, and I hope to contribute more meaningfully in the future.
